Discipleship

and

Generosity…

Jesus says that his biggest competition for our commitment is money. (Matthew 6:24)  Generosity is a concrete way of putting our commitment to Jesus first in our lives. How we give is less important than the discipline of giving generously and regularly. We try to remove any barriers that might make it hard for a person to practice generosity. Therefore, we provide a variety of ways to give. Find one that is convenient for you. Then give generously, not to meet a budget, but to be faithful in your discipleship and to be part the world-changing work of the church of Jesus Christ.

Jesus and Generosity…

Not having cash or check should not stop us from giving; therefore, we provide a variety of ways to give. Find one that is convenient for you. RECURRING DEPOSITS

Recurring transfers or deposits are a great way to give to God’s work.  From your side there is no forgetting to write checks or stop at the bank. For the church it means reliable cash flow even when you are on vacation.

— Ask your bank for a EFT authorization form. Select the account, the dates, and the bank does the rest usually at no cost to you.

ONLINE GIVING

While electronic transfers or deposits are a great way to give to the ministry on a regular basis. One time or infrequent donations work best on line.

— We use the on line payment service called Dwolla to allow our friends to give online. You can order a one time donation or a series of recurring donations*. Unlike PayPal  or other payment companies, Dwolla does not rely on credit cards but allows you to pay directly from your bank account.   There are a couple of advantages.

  1. There are NO fees compared to 2-4 % fees for credit card processingdwolla_0

  2. Used carefully, credit cards can be an important financial tool. Used carelessly, however, credit cards can cause  families serious financial problems. We prefer to encourage families to give  generously out of what they have now, rather than use their credit card to borrow to make their offering to God.

— If you don’t already have a Dwolla account you will be asked to create one

— Once you have signed up, you can log on at any time to support the ministry.

*Options for recurring payments are weekly, monthly on the 1st of the month, or semi monthly on the 1st and the 15th.
